Labels & colours - Adding/editing booking stages

If you are using Collins for live service and are actively checking bookings in, you can go into further detail by marking which stage the booking is at in real-time. You can create your own booking stages (such as ‘Partially Seated’ or ‘Dessert’) and create different colours for these stages.

If you have multiple venues and would like the same stages for each venue, you can add Booking stages at a Venue Group level by going to Settings:

  • Venue Group

  • Labels tab on the left-hand side

  • Click 'Add Another' and add/edit as you wish

  • Make sure to SAVE the page

If you have no stages set up, you can also choose 'ADD EXAMPLE STAGES’ to use some premade ones.

To set up stages at Venue level, go to:

  • Settings

  • Venues > Select the venue

  • Labels & colours tab on the left-hand side

  • "Booking Stages" section

  • Use Custom stages if you have nothing set up at Venue Group level

  • Click 'Add Another' and add/edit as you wish

  • Make sure to SAVE the page

If you have no labels set up, you can also choose 'ADD EXAMPLE LABELS' to use some pre-made labels.

!Please note that ‘Left’ is a default stage which cannot be edited or removed and we'd recommend keeping 'Arrived' as the first stage.

USEFUL - You can also assign a default stage for walk-ins. For example, when adding a walk-in you can pre-set that they are automatically marked as Seated.

USEFUL - If you have already added stages into your Venue Group settings, you can choose to copy them over to specific venues.

In your Venue Level settings, at the bottom of your existing stages, you will see the option to select 'Copy from Venue Group'. Click this and you will see your Venue Group stages.

Select which items you wish to copy to this venue from the drop-down and SAVE the page.
