Within each individual booking/enquiry, there is an ‘Assign to areas’ section under ‘booking details’. Below is an explanation of each option in this section:
Once an enquiry is assigned to a table(s) you can lock this in place by clicking the ‘lock’ button. This is particularly important if a customer requests a specific table or area within the venue such as a window seat for example. By locking this in place, no other user (apart from a bookings manager with full permissions) will be able to move this enquiry into another table. This will also disable the 'Find Areas' tool.
When the ‘Find Areas’ button is selected, the system will automatically suggest a selection of tables suitable to accommodate the enquiry or booking that you’re in. The calculation is based on whether the table is free, whether the number of guests falls within the relevant table ‘Max Seated’ capacities and if it the tables have been listed in the 'Areas for this Booking Type' section for that specific Booking Type.
If there are no tables available at this time, Collins will suggest alternative time slots for the surrounding 3 hours. If the booking/enquiry exceeds your Limit Arrivals rule, a warning message will appear to let you know you have/are about to exceed your rules at this time.

When using Find Areas, you have the option to 'Include exceeded cover limits' in the check. This will enable Collins to return results even if a Limit Arrivals rule will be exceeded at that time.
Assign to All
If the ‘Assign to all’ button is selected, the enquiry will be assigned to all the Tables/Areas in the venue. This is most often used for Private Hire enquiries. If you accidentally press this, you can undo your action by clicking 'Unassign All' to untick all tables.
Assign to zone
If in your Settings, you have allocated your Table/Areas into different Zones i.e. Restaurant or Bar, you will see an ‘Assign to zone’ button, your Zones will display on the dropdown list so you can easily assign all the Tables/Areas in that Zone in one click.
By ticking the ‘Only Available’ box, only the tables in your venue which are free will show in the list of tables.
To bring up a specific table from your Table List, you can search for the Table in the Filter box in the top right-hand corner.
