Diary/Floorplan - Checking in early/late bookings in live service
If a customer is late/early and you check in their booking outside of the bookings expected arrival time, you will receive the below prompt to change the start time to their actual arrival time or leave it as the booking time if you wish. The prompt will display for 20 seconds and the orange bar shows you how long it’s going to be there for. If you don’t want to change anything, the prompt disappears after this time leaving the booking at the original time.
If a booking is late/early and you check them in at their actual arrival time rather than their initial booking time and this booking now overlaps with a later/earlier booking on the same table – Collins will signal a warning to indicate that two bookings are overlapping. You can then act accordingly and either tell the guest you need the table back at a certain time or find an alternative free table for them. Please note, you can only check-in bookings on today's date.
