When you join up to Collins you receive an initial document containing your widget code to pass on to your web developers.If you need to find your widget code again you can now get it from the new Booking widget section in your Settings:
> select your venue name
> Booking Widget & Links
> Widget Code.
This now includes a section where you can choose the options for your booking widget and it will generate the code for you to just copy and paste and send over to your web developer.
There are 3 widget codes that can be created from this section;
1. Standard code listing all booking types open for bookings
This is the initial code that you'll see displaying in the shaded grey field.
DO NOTE : Only Booking Types that have 'Can Book' ticked in Availability for at least one day of the week will automatically display on the widget. If the Booking Type doesn't have a day(s) ticked as 'Can Book' the booking type is taken for Internal use only and so will not appear on the widget.
2. Listing multiple venues on your widget
If you would like to include more than one venue on your widget, you can do so by ticking the ‘Include other venues on this widget’ field.
You will then be shown all venues in your venue group. Select the venues that you would like to list.
If you would like to also include a ‘Not Sure’ option, tick ‘Include Not Sure option’.
A new code will be generated for you to copy and paste and send over to your web developer.
**IMPORTANT : If including the ‘Not Sure’ option you will need to set up specific ‘Not Sure Booking Types’ in your Venue Group settings - see guide. (Only users with full group permissions will be able to access Venue Group settings)**
3. Listing a single booking type on your widget
If you would like to create a booking widget that only lists a specific booking type you can by ticking ‘Limit to a single booking type’. For example, if you have a separate page Private Hire page on your website, you can create a widget for your Private Hire Enquiries only.
Once a Booking Type has been selected, a new code will be generated for you to copy and paste and send over to your web developer.
