To remove the option for the customer to choose a duration on your widget, in your Settings, go to:
Select the Venue
Select the relevant Booking Type
Within the booking type, under ‘Remove Fields’ tick the Duration ('until time') box - this will shade the duration field grey on the Booking Widget and it will be disabled so customers don’t have to fill this section in
Make sure to SAVE the page
When removing the duration field, Collins will set all bookings of this type to be until close, so we don’t recommend ticking this if the booking type has auto-confirm rules set up, as it will book out the assigned table for the whole night. If you just want to limit duration, use the min/max columns in the Availability section.
If you would like to remove the Until field from the widget so it is not visible to the customer, your web developers can override the CSS to remove the field - See guide.
USEFUL - If you want to remove the duration field and make sure that bookings are booked in for a set duration (and not until your close time) you can do this by:
> Firstly, make sure the 'Duration (until time)' box is unticked
> Then, scroll down to Availability > Min Duration & Max Duration** - set these both to the required duration i.e. 2 hours (see guide for setting set/default durations)
> Lastly scroll back up to tick the 'Duration (until time)' box > Save
This will then allow Collins to default the duration and blank out the Until time field.** If you want to set different durations depending on the size of the booking, instead of filling out the durations within Availability, you'll need to complete the Rules Dependent on Number of Guests section
