If taking menu orders over the phone or perhaps you have been given a completed list by the customer, these can be added manually in a similar way to adding individual pre-order items.
Begin by opening the booking, navigating to the Pre-Orders section and selecting ‘Add Pre-Order’. Write the name of the menu you would like to add in the appearing item box. As you begin writing, any relevant menus (and items sharing a similar name) will show as possible options.
Choose the desired menu (in this example - Christmas menu) to open a pop up of the digital menu with relevant options to choose.
Use the + and - buttons to choose the quantity of each item. The list will also show if any items have a surcharge (e.g Deer Haunch or a steak) and also whether there are any extra configurable options (e.g the Cod in this example has a selection of different sauces available - all with an extra price). When all items have been added, click ‘Done’ at the bottom.
Important: If you have fixed price menus containing different rules/surcharges/configurable items, any orders that differ in price should be added as a separate order. For more info on this please see this article.
If you have a list of names for each menu order, make sure to input these individually by adding the name next to the order (this will appear after selecting the menu items and clicking the ‘Done’ button). To add any dietary requirements and allergies specific to this customer’s order, select the small knife and fork symbol next to the name and choose from the pop-up list.
Payment - If you want to then request payment for this pre-order, click the ‘add payment’ option in the pre-order section. For more info on this please see Adding payments for pre-orders
