Collins Pre-Orders - Adding payment for pre-orders

When sending a payment request for a pre-order, this should be done through the ‘Pre-orders’ tab and not the payments tab.

> To send a pre-order payment request, go to the Pre-orders tab within a booking, and if the customer has already submitted their order (but not paid) or you have manually added in the items/menu choices into the Pre-Orders tab, click on the ‘Add Payment’ button located at the top of the tab.


> When this is pressed, the option of how much to pay appears, where you’ll input the percentage of what needs to be paid (the default will be 100% of the total). Once happy with the amount, click ‘Add’:

  

> Once this is selected, you will be taken through to the payments tab which will automatically be linked to the previous pre-order total. The internal notes will also be automatically filled in with: ‘For pre-orders’. You can write a personalised message in the text box or choose a predefined template from the drop-down list - To create payment templates, please see here.

> Once the customer makes the payment, the pre-order section will now update from ‘unpaid’ to the amount that has been paid by the customer. If the customer has already marked the pre-order as ‘Complete’ (or you have just manually added in the order) the status will read with a green ‘Complete’ label. If the order is incomplete (ie. the lead booker hasn’t submitted the entire order yet), an orange label reading ‘Pending’ will show.
