To avoid potential fraud and/or chargebacks to our customers, Collins Pay has a Zip/Post Code Verification when a customer makes a payment online using our secure link.
The Post Code verification is enabled to ensure the person paying is the cardholder. When using Collins Pay, the customer must enter their correct postcode. If a customer tries to pay using the link and their postcode is rejected (either they've mistakenly inputted a wrong letter or entered an old address), they are taken through to a 3D Secure page via their bank. More details on 3D secure is here.
The customer's bank decides whether to approve the transaction or asks them for their secure password (each bank has its own rules). The payment will then complete if it's approved by the bank or if the customer has put in the correct secure password
